The SOG Specialty Knives & Tools SSD01-L Demo is a unique fixed blade knife based on one of the rst Special Forces SOG Knives in existence. Only 39 were made and 38 of these were delivered to the Naval Advisory Detachment for missions on the North Vietnamese Coastline. Using current manufacturing techniques, SOG is now able to create a spectacular reproduction of this ultra r knife, with a modern twist. Made of AUS-8 steel with an attractive hardcase black TiNi finish, the 7.25-inch dual serrated and straight edge, fixed blade has a spear point shape ideal for slashing and puncturing. The ergonomically contoured and well-balanced handle has a black finish and made of Kraton to fit comfortably in your hand. The synthetic rubber material on the handle provides a no-slip grip with increased heat, wear and chemical resistance. SOG's unique cryogenic heat treatment process results in an overall increase in toughness and heightened wear-resistance. The blade includes a lanyard hole, nylon lanyard and a black leather sheath with a snap closure and belt loop attachment to always keep the Demo safely protected and close to you at all times. This knife has an overall length of 11.75-inches, blade thickness of 0.23-inches and weight of 12.2-ounces. The SOG Specialty Knives & Tools SSD01-L Demo 2.0 Knife comes with a limited lifetime warranty that protects against defects in manufacturing and materials. Each SOG product is created with the help of company founder and chief engineer, Spencer Frazer.
