The JoolTool Intro Kit includes the compact multifunction JoolTool system and a basic set of accessories for sharpening, polishing, sanding, cutting, deburring, and grinding on metal, wood, and other materials. The tool uses discs, called backpads with a spiral design that provides the user with a clear view of the workpiece for increased accuracy. The backpads have fins that circulate air to keep the JoolTool and the workpiece cool, even when using maximum speed. The variable-speed motor can be adjusted between 500 and 5,000 RPM. The backpad twists and locks onto the tool's spindle for a secure hold without requiring mounting hardw or tools. The 3M PSA (pressure-sensitive adhesive) abrasive discs adhere and lock to the backpad for quick changes and ease of use.
The JoolTool has a compact, durable aluminum and impact-resistant ABS body, and a hood that can be removed for additional clearance for working on larger items. The Jooltool has a side handle and can be undocked/detached from its base to allow freehand sanding and polishing of large objects and surfaces. It also can be mounted horizontally on its base for clic buffer-style finishing and polishing. A dust collection system can be attached to the hood's vacuum port for removal of dust and debris from the grinding a for safety visibility. The JoolTool occupies less than one squ foot on a tabletop or bench. A wide range of accessories available for this tool (sold separately) that expand its use for professionals and hobbyists working in lapidary, jewelry making, woodworking, tool sharpening, and many other fields.
Accessories in this kit include 3 backpads, 4 3M Trizact aluminum-oxide abrasive discs, 3 3M Cubitron ceramic abrasive discs, 1 wool felt polishing disc, and 1 oz. polishing compound bar. The kit includes one coarse (400 grit), medium (1000 grit), fine (1500 grit) and very fine (3000 grit) 3M Trizact aluminum-oxide abrasive disc for general-purpose honing and sharpening of metal as well as beveling diacrylic gl. The 3M Cubitron ceramic abrasive discs include one coarse (80 grit), medium (120 grit), and fine (220 grit) for grinding wood and metals. 3M Cubitron ceramic abrasives self-sharpening and better performing than aluminum oxide. Use them for high-speed steel and difficult-to-grind materials. The polishing compound coats the wool felt disc to buff most metals, including gold, silver, and br, to a lustrous finish. The 3M abrasive discs labeled with grit and micron size for quick reference, and have a PSA backing that adheres to the backpad. The backpads do not require truing and will not deform with use.
